Rehab Rex

Jarard Pearce, T4

Rehab Rex is the latest product in the Rex Bionics product family.

This device has been designed for use in rehabilitation centres to assist with the treatment of patients under care.

The single difference between Rex and Rehab Rex is the ability to rapidly adjust the device for multiple users who may vary in height, weight and medical needs.

Under a clinicians supervision, patients can be reintroduced to passive movement of the joints and controlled weight bearing.

A clinician is able to dial in a different walk or movement according to the functional ability of the patient being treated. Each Rehab centre may require one or multiple Rex devices depending on the number of patients being treated on a daily basis.

"Upright positioning is known to decrease the secondary complications and increase the physical well-being of persons with SCI. The potential for Rehab REX to compliment SCI rehabilitation and medical management, to assist in prevention of secondary medical and physical complications, and to provide a safe and progressive means for gradual return to independence is vast."
